Júlia Maria Pavan Soler
Professora do Departamento de Estatística do IME-USP desde 1995, integralmente dedicada ao ensino e pesquisa em Estatística. É bacharel em Ciências Biológicas pelo IB-UNESP, mestre em Estatística pelo IMECC-UNICAMP e doutora em Estatística pelo IME-USP. Tem projetos colaborativos com o Incor-USP e Faculdade de Saúde Pública-USP, Mayo Clinic (Rochester, USA) e Pharmacy Institute (University of Groningen, Netherlands), principalmente direcionados para o desenvolvimento e aplicação de métodos estatísticos no planejamento, processamento e análise de dados multiômicos. É orientadora na pós-graduação em Estatística e em Bioinformática do IME/USP. Desafios de sua pesquisa envolvem principalmente a formulação de métodos multivariados de redução de dimensionalidade, integração de dados e aprendizado de estruturas causais entre variáveis.
